I appreciate recent involvement of Govt. with various regulatory bodies and doing commendable role. Even though we have 100 examples of inaction but, timely actions as recent as yesterday about ULIP Schemes and frictions between SEBI and ICRA. Govt officials put a nice end to it with route of amicable discussion.

Another unnoticed event which needed much attention is recent awareness drive by BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) for nice media ads in midst of IPL ad campaign about being energy efficient. As usual I prick my nose on anything and everything happening on self service drive. This time Payment portion is missing but, Kiosks for generating interest for alert citizens and buyers to save energy bill --- good whopping 31% saving on AC Bill.

Interesting part is that BEE is using Kotler's 5 P perfectly and decided to place it next to the nose of Buyers ... yes that's right at Retail Outlets of Reliance, Croma etc...

I would like to see next happening place to be payment KIOSK for Electric City BILLs as Self Service option (Hope ADAG is listening) as BEE is also increasing it's certifications to other electric goods and products....Follow the link for the detail coverage by TOI
